This is a smooth, fruity blend of three Sardinian red grape varieties, Monica, Carignano del Sulcis and Bovale Sardo. It mixes red fruit some floral and spicy notes. Aging in cement vats preserves the grapes’ inherent taste. The wine’s name means “place of many stones,” which could well describe most of Sardinia, a windswept island that was variously occupied by the Phoenicians, Spanish and Genoa.
